Pescada, North Scottsdale’s newest high-end, fine-dining restaurant, has taken over the previous Herb Box location in Market Street DC Ranch, the fourth restaurant by Scottsdale Restauranteur, Sheila Bryson.
“Market Street in DC Ranch has been seeking higher-end dining since the days of Eddie V’s well over a decade ago” says Chef Sheila, “as an avid diner myself, I found that going to Market Street for dinner didn’t offer much when it came to a ‘special occasion’ night out. This prompted me to open Vic & Ola’s, a higher-end dining experience, yet a casual and comfortable atmosphere. My grandparents, Victor & Ola were from Southern Italy, and I took their knowledge of food that I learned as a little girl, and created the Italian restaurant that the neighborhood has grown to know as a staple in the community”
This same idea has prompted Chef Sheila to continue her restaurateur path, creating another upscale dining restaurant, this time geared towards seafood.
“I always look at what the neighborhood needs before deciding what new venture to take on. Being in Market Street for the past 3 years, one thing was lacking – a good quality seafood restaurant. Many of those who dine at my restaurants know that I like to keep it fresh, fun, and interesting when it comes to the food”
The menu is eclectic & creative, but also authentic to Western European cooking. Pescada features fresh fish from the Mediterranean Sea & Atlantic Coast, oysters & caviar paired with French Champagne, but not everything is from the sea, think Iberico Pork Pluma, as well as Venison Chops & escargot, all of which have a nice pairing with the mostly-European wine list.
As her reputation proves, Sheila has the community in mind when creating a new restaurant concept.
Opening this restaurant is bringing something new to the neighborhood, while maintaining quality food, drinks & service that DC Ranch is known for. Be ready to excite your senses when walking into Pescada. With wines from Spain & Western Europe, an inventive craft cocktail menu & the freshest seafood sourced daily - you will be transported out of the desert when dining at this newest North Scottsdale hotspot.
