Pescada, North Scottsdale’s newest upscale seafood restaurant, has taken over the former Herb Box location in Market Street DC Ranch. It’s the fourth restaurant by local restaurateur Sheila Bryson.
“Market Street has been missing a high-end dining option since Eddie V’s left over a decade ago,” says Chef Sheila. “As someone who enjoys dining out, I felt there was a need for a ‘special occasion’ spot in the area, which is what inspired me to open Vic & Ola’s. It offers a more elevated dining experience but in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. My grandparents, Victor & Ola, were from Southern Italy, and their cooking is what I grew up with. I’ve channeled that into creating the Italian restaurant that’s now become a beloved neighborhood staple.”
This same vision led Chef Sheila to her next venture: Pescada, a seafood-focused fine-dining restaurant.
“I always consider what the community needs when planning a new restaurant. After three years in Market Street, I noticed one thing was missing—a quality seafood restaurant. People who know my style know I like to keep things fresh, fun, and creative, especially when it comes to food.”
Pescada’s menu features a blend of authentic Western European flavors and fresh, eclectic dishes. It offers fish from the Mediterranean and Atlantic, oysters, and caviar paired with French Champagne. Beyond seafood, you’ll find dishes like venison chops, lamb shank, steak tartare, and escargot, all perfectly matched with a mostly European wine list.
Chef Sheila is known for creating restaurants with the community in mind, and Pescada is no different. This new addition brings something fresh to the neighborhood while maintaining the high standards in food, drinks, and service that DC Ranch is known for. With wines from Spain and Western Europe, an inventive craft cocktail menu, and seafood sourced daily, Pescada promises to transport diners far from the desert into a world of fresh flavors and exciting dining experiences.
